Taiyo Nagano / Creative Director

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Taiyo is a digital media designer and has 12 years of experience in this field. While working as a network engineer in Tokyo, he has launched into graphic design, web design and VJ under the name of "The Jelly Hunters". He moved to the UK in 2001 and completed the MA in Digital Arts at Camberwell College of Arts in London in 2003. Currently lives and works in London.
He recently contributed to the production of the feature film "The Age of Stupid" as a computer interface designer/animator. He has been involved in a lot of major projects including the official website of the award-wining singer/song writer James Blunt and the legendary illustrator Quentin Blake.

The Age of Stupid (2009) - Computer Interface Design and Animation

The Age of Stupid is the new eco-documentary film from McLibel director Franny Armstrong. Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite stars as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking at old footage from 2008 and asking: why didn't we stop climate change when we had the chance?

The Jelly Hunters designed and animated the future computer interface which Pete Postlethwaite operates throughout the film. We also designed the main film poster (UK version), a series of merchandise goods, adverts, their stationery and the DVD menu interface.

James Blunt Official Website: All The Lost Souls Year: 2007 - Now James Blunt's official website. Completely new site for the second album "All The Lost Souls". We are responsible for the whole site administration including his official message board.

Quentin Blake Official Website Year: 2007 - Now Quentin Blake is one of Britain's best-loved and most successful illustrators and children's authors. This website has a lot of interesting features such as interactive games for kids, videos and slide shows about his works..

Art exhibition "interplay" - Art direction, Website and co-curation Year: 2009 Interplay is an experimental exhibition based on improvisation by 14 emerging artists. We were in charge of the branding and the blog based website which was one of the integral parts of the exhibition. The website had live broadcasting of the exhibition set up and private view.

Battodo Fudokan Branding & Website Year: 2009 Japanese sword school in London run by John Evans who holds 7th Dan of Toyama Ryu Battodo. We developed the branding design based on the deep research and consultation into the ethos of the school. The website contains plenty of videos edited by us.

Colliding Particles Branding & Website Year: 2008 "Colliding Particles" is a series of films following the work of one team of physicists involved in the experiments at the LHC (The Large Hadron Collider at CERN). We designed the base branding of the film series and the website. All the episodes are available to see on the website in HD quality.

Akiko Ban Branding & Website Year: 2008 Akiko Ban is a fine artist mainly working in sculpture and drawing. She completed the MFA at Slade School of FIne Art in 2008 and currently lives and works in London. We are in charge of all the print and online based materials related with the artist's activities.

SHCJ European Province Website Year: 2009 SHCJ (The Society of the Holy Child Jesus) is an international community of Roman Catholic sisters living in the United States, Europe, South America and Africa. We developed the website of the European division of the organization.

Van Structural Design Website Year: 2008 Van Structural Design is a Japanese structural design studio run by one of the top structural designers in Japan Shigeru Ban. He has been working on a lot of major projects including the Nagano olympic arena and FujiTV HQ building.

Pascal Jewellery Website Year: 2007 London based Jewellery brand which has shops in 12 major department stores in the UK including Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Selfridges.
